Grafa // Cafe Restaurant

What is life if we don't go cafe-hopping around town once in awhile? A very dull one, that would be.
Anyway, so I thought this little old-school cafe is a rather surprising find because no one would EVER expect indie cafes to pop up in SS15.

They have a wide selection to choose from. Everything from burgers to pastas to mee raja to red velvet cakes. Considering the very big portion they serve, I would say it's really reasonably priced!
Sarah and I had the same Chicken Chop, RM 15. It was so good. I love the mash potato, and I swear to God, the size of it was bigger than my fist- and I'm telling you, I have chubby hands.
Alexis had the Mamma Mia,RM12, sandwich and she was gushing about it the whole time we were there. You can imagine the goodness in between the toasted bread. I kinda wished I had four stomachs so I could eat her's too. See the side dish? I'm not an onion person, but I thought the onion rings were really juicy+amazing!
Red Velvet Cake, RM12. THIS. Both my friends went "MMMMMMmmmmMmm" (with their eyes closed) for a good 10 seconds. Nothing says foodgasm more that. I thought it was too moist for my taste, but that's just me. I love it's not too sweet though, so points for that! The cream cheese was lovely too.
I didn't do the interior of the cafe enough justice. Just imagine this space double the times more rustic/vintagey/indie/old-school/hipster than the photos. Gotta adore this place. A perfect place to talk the day away with your friends! <3 Have to come back to take more photos of their interior, and of course, it goes without saying, for the food. Remember to go with an empty stomach, or else you wouldn't be able to finish your food!

Three Little Pigs & the Big Bad Wolf

An alternative (and not to mention, creative) take of the restaurant's name, because I didn't think to snap a photo of it from the outside. You can't deny the genius in me.

So anyway, my buddy Flo and I decided to kick-start the first day of April and a Monday morning by having an amazing brunch because a happy stomach equals to a happy us. After much ravings from friends about how good this place is, we just have to give it a try, won't we? Off we trotted to the porky scene!

We were sorely disappointed by the food. OK. JOKES. Guys, give me a little break, there's just a few hours left of mischief that I can afford without being called childish. Alright, fine, call me whatever you want. Although, if I were to choose, I'll prefer the endearing term "Young at Heart"

What was I saying? So anyway, the food. It was so orgasmic. Really, I'm serious this time.
The Mighty Piggy Burger, RM24+ I don't think I've had better pork burgers around town. We didn't know what to order, so we went to see reviews online/foursquares and apparently this is one of the top favourites in the menu! It's not hard to see why. The patty was juicy and the egg+cheese+herbed mayo+everything nice made that burger absolutely yummeh. It's a little on the expensive side for a burger, but it's pretty worth it.

No one should ever leave this place without having a taste of The Wolf's Favourite,RM27+. No one. It's an unpardonable sin. A creamy carbonara with loads of smoky bacon, what more can you possibly ask for? Oh that's right, a silky poached egg ready to explode at the mercy of your fork's pointy tips. Glorious.
We wish we could order more off the menu, but the portion's really quite big! This place warrants a second visit! Gonna bring more people though, I have to try lots of other things and I can't do that myself! Really wanna try their leek soup, ALIEN INVASION (Don't they have very quirky names for their food?) and their breakfast dishes next! Saving up for it. The food here can be quite pricey but, damn, were they good.
Already looking forward to the next visit!

Good times

Here we were at Setia Walk, Puchong!  The funny thing about us being here was...we didn't intend to. We wanted to go Uncle Jang, but GPS bailed on us when we needed it most, but that's of course. *roll eyes*

Not that this isn't a good place to hang out! Especially appealed by The Beer Factory here. Apparently they have good Tiger Beer draft there, but really, I can't tell because I drink to have a good time (read: tipsy). My taste buds ain't picky when it comes to beers.

Anyway, back to about dinner. Since we couldn't make it to Uncle Jang, we opted for the alternative:
  SAN NAE DEUL.

While waiting for the main courses to come.Wait, no, hold on there. I'm not sure. This could be an after meal photo because lol our table looks a wee bit messy. But then again it could be...you know what, nevermind. I'm just gonna go ahead with more foodie pics.
(My guys, I'm sorry I had to post this. I know this isn't the most amazing picture in the pile, but there's only so few I can choose from... so forgive me.)
I love their kimchi! We asked for extra twice! Love that it's not too spicy! Or it could be 'cuz i haven't eaten kimchi since last year and boy, do I like them!
What's a korean dinner if there's no ricecake? HOWEVER. Not the best dish we had.
From the right, Jo Ee, Tim Soon and..TeikSeam being all weird-faced.
Nah! Better photo before I abruptly end this entry! Everyone still had that tired face but at least our eyes seemed bigger! Or...not. Mine seemed longer than usual. I don't understand. Must be trick of the light.

Guess how much the birthday girl paid for all these? About RM 120. You heard me right. I cannot imagine how deep a trouble the cashier would be in. One rice cake was already about RM50, and we had 4-5 main courses. We expected it to be about RM200 maybe? Give or take. The cashier took the wrong bill and lol, just his luck. We had a good meal.

(So much for an abrupt stop)

After dinner drinks at the Museum, and then second round at the Beer Factory. You would think we're such good drinkers. AHAH, you're fooled. But anyway, we did have a very good time! The card games sent us a little little over the top and we ended up...well this is very anti-climax. We laughed all the way home.

Not before stopping halfway to take a leak by the road side, oh someone did ;)

02032013

*Back from ear scratching*

I really do not know why I had the need to post these up, but here they are. Photos taken inside the BAIYOKE SKY HOTEL, BKK. Currently the tallest hotel in the whole of Thailand. Tell me how cool is that? It's complete with an observation deck, a revolving view point and a Roof Top bar! It's really too bad I didn't get to go to the bar 'cuz of my annoying backache- ruined my mood for anything that would cheer me up -.- It would have been fun now that I think of it!

*Going away to scratch more skin. BRB!*

PS: I know the last picture didn't really reflect my frustrations. I'm good at hiding my emotions for exactly 2 seconds.

Not such a good time

On the street of the sex-induced town of Pattaya, Thailand!

It shouldn't come as a surprise that I took so long to come up with just one post. Unfortunate events happened and I was bed-ridden for a few days due to my backache. Almost everyday after the trip I was on medication, so on the scale of 1-10 if asked whether February was a good month, I'll say it's a...5? I would have put it lower, but then that won't be fair because Bangkok was really fun despite my backache. Another reason it's not any lower is because I had a real good time up there in KL with my friends for a few days after BKK. That made up for the bed-ridden days.

BUT.

Soon after I got back from KL, I got infected by some viral skin allergy. My cheeks, ears, neck, chest, tummy, and thighs- all of them are infected with red dots + rashes. Thankfully enough (if you'll excuse me), my priveys are not affected. Trust me, these two days haven't been healthy for my self-confidence. I hide in shame. I look positively like a baboon's ass, but that's not the worst part. It's the itch that drives me crazy. The itch, oh my god, is SUCH A BITCH. I feel like raking at my skin every second! Like now, for an instance.

I think I should be more honest. 3/10 is more like it. 5, is me being to generous.

I am currently popping 8 pills a day with cream application twice daily. It's a wonder if I DON'T recover any sooner. The boyf suggested that I go take a jab and everything would be alright again. Call me stubborn, but I don't believe in injections when I can heal on my own. It lowers my immunity and I just refuse to let that happen. My stubbornness would result in a slow discovery...but I can deal with it. For now!

Lucky I have family and friends who kept making things funnier/better. An atheist who prayed for me *rolled eyes*. A friend who's going to the church this week to make prayers more powerful *LOL*. A friend who commented that it's a "blush overkill". A friend who said I look like some china kid. Other friends who showed concern and wished me a speedy recovery! Thanks, guys. :) I really appreciated all of it! Also grateful that my parents say they'll take care of me forever if I don't recover, and if no one wants me cuz' I'm so ugly right now. *sniffles*

Off to scratch the back of my ears. Be right back!

cny in BKK!

I believe this little collage here has pretty much summed up what I'm gonna say!

Happy Chinese New Year, guys!
May the Snake year be good to you and I wish you all the best for everything, because I'm nice like that!

I cannot wait to got to Bangkok! Be still my heart. This would be my first time there in the shopping heaven and I got a feeling the experience is going to be insane for one sole reason. Well, actually make that two.
One: THE SHOPPING, ARE U KIDDING ME, OMG, I CAN'T EVEN.
Two: Thai Foooooooooooooooood!

Basically, Eat, shop, rest, on repeat for 5 days. MODE ON!

Will update real soon! Wait for it!! I will take good pictures, I promise!

Hello, from Melaka!

Oh whew. Yesterday was a relief from my daily routine of boredom. Went for a road trip with my class peeps to Melaka. It wasn't exactly planned, I mean we didn't know where to go, what to eat and all that, but you know what? That's the best part of a road trip- spontaneity.

I could use some of that in my life right now. I hate routines.

Here we are! This isn't a full group photo, but well that's almost all of us right here! I don't remember where this beach is. Distraction is the main order of the day, so excuse me. Haha.So... tell me how many girls do u see in the photo? Two? That's right, and thank god. Initially it was only just me with 14 other guys 'cuz Sarah couldn't make it. I almost freaked. But then later they told me Munirah is gonna join when we meet at Melaka. So, yay!
Andy's disapproving face. But like always, I don't care ;P
Now he's cool. Picture of me, Andy, Shaddy and Arif!
Lol, my face looks hideous here but nevermind! It's Haziq buddy and me here! How can I resist being piggy-bagged? You tell me.
And how can I resist posing beside Harris. So macho model-esque ;)
That's what I'm talking about, people.
Haziq, Munirah and Shaddy from Africa!
Saufie, myself, Harris, Naim, Ridh, Andy and Haiqal! It was supposed to be just me and Saufie but after this trip, I realise how much everyone loves to have their pictures taken! Hahaha yeah, I'm one of those people too. I have found people of the same species in my life.

One of my favourite human being. Ever.

My tired faces all over the pictures. I don't usually look like that, if you believe me.
Apparently, this is so good. I haven't personally tried it 'cuz before this I had a coconut milkshake. Enough to last for like 1 hour.
Whaddup! Shaddy likey Malaysia's cendol.
Truly Malaysian-style. We can just sit on a curb and eat.
People with cendols. Because I can't think up a better caption guys!!

Lol, okay, I'm tired, I've tried to put in as many captions as I can right now. Maybe I'll do some editing tomorrow. Or the day after next. Or the next. I'll come back, but I won't promise when. So, I'm gonna end this post with this. Good night everyone! Have a good one!

xx
One of the best days I've had in a while! Thank you, guys!
